Scientific Name: Marmota monax

Size :  20″ long with 6-7″ tail

Weight: 6-12 lbs.

Live 3-6 years

Coloring: Brown fur with a  round body and short bushy tail

Groundhogs have short, strong legs and  curved claws that allow them create and burrow tunnels. Their eyes are small and round, and their ears are on the top of their head which is flat. Their teeth are similar to those of beaver, and groundhogs have two long incisors that are always growing.
