Pill Bugs prefer moist and warm environments. They are often found in lawn turf, under leaves or other moist areas of decaying vegetable matter. Extremes of wet, dry or hot weather drive them inside (basements, garages, lower floor levels), and while they do no damage to humans directly, they can be an annoyance. However, if you have a greenhouse or indoor plants, these creatures, especially in high numbers, can do some damage.
