They are also equipped with plenty of survival abilities, as brown rats can swim, climb, dive, and dig. Brown rats produce about 6 to 11 offspring per litter, and they can have 3 litters per year. They prefer to eat anything organic, especially fruit, meat, fish, and invertebrates. Although they are commonly found on farms and in sewers, brown rats can easily become a house pest if they find an entry point somewhere on the house.
